Ferretti Caffé has followed the philosophy from the very beginning that creating top-quality coffee requires an artistic touch, a refined selection process, a deep desire for improvement and innovation, and a thorough understanding of the product itself. Our experts are aware that it is essential to create the perfect blend of Arabica and Robusta coffee, ensuring a full flavor, rich body, and intense aroma – the key elements of every good coffee.
At Ferretti Caffé, we strive to offer the best blend of beans, free from additives and preservatives. Our coffee is made for those who appreciate quality and authenticity in every cup. Whether for the HORECA sector or home use, Ferretti Caffé is synonymous with a refined coffee experience.
The story of our coffee
The secrets of good coffee lie on coffee plantations in Guatemala and Colombia, located at an altitude of 1300m-1500m above sea level. On fertile soil, in hot and humid conditions, and at the ideal temperature between 20°C and 25°C, the beans of Ferretti coffee thrive.
Our coffee plantations
The coffee plant is a tropical tree or evergreen shrub belonging to the Rubiaceae family and the Coffea species. Its leaves are elongated and dark green. The start of the rainy season triggers the flowering of Arabica. Its flower is white, and due to its shape and strong fragrance, it resembles jasmine. In a natural and clean environment, eight to nine months after flowering, the first fruits appear.

The fruits, which are greenish-yellow in color and berry-shaped, turn red when they are partially ripe. Each fruit contains two beans, which are flat on one side, separated by a groove, and protrude outward. In some cases, when the fruit grows at the top of the branch, only one round bean develops, known as a pearl bean or Caracolito. The Arabica variety is highly aromatic, sweet, and delicate. Robusta, which is easier to grow, is more resilient and matures faster. It is yellow or yellowish-brown in color, and its berries are round. Compared to Arabica, the taste of Robusta is fuller and more bitter. Robusta contains 1.7% to 3.5% caffeine, while Arabica's caffeine content ranges between 0.8% and 1.5%.
Arabica-Robusta
Since quality is our top priority, we harvest the fruits using the picking technique. This method involves workers moving from plant to plant, hand-picking only the ripe, bright red fruits. Unripe green fruits are left on the bushes, where they wait until the next harvest, while overripe fruits fall to the ground. This method of harvesting ensures high-quality coffee.
Ferretti Caffé Coffee Harvesting
We roast our coffee beans using a slow-roasting process that lasts from 14 to 18 minutes. The coffee beans are roasted in a hot air flow at temperatures ranging from 200°C to 280°C, with the beans floating in the air during roasting, which helps preserve the aroma and quality of the coffee. This process requires precision and is gentler on the beans, causing less damage. Because quality comes before quantity for us, we place great importance on roasting in small batches and do not add preservatives or additives.
